Enduring Love

Greetings!

In the hustle of life, it's easy to lose sight of what's lasting. We chase after quick fixes, fleeting highs, and momentary wins. But amid life's whirlwind, one thing remains unshaken: God's love lasts forever.

Psalm 136:1 puts it straight: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever." That's the bedrock truth we can lean on, no matter what. His love isn't just for the good times; it's a steady anchor in every storm.

When life throws curveballs, Isaiah 40:8 reminds me, "The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever." It's a reality check that while everything else may change, God's promises stay rock-solid. His word is a lifeline when everything else feels shaky.

And when trials hit hard, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 speaks volumes: "For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So, we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever." It's a reminder that the pain we feel today is just a blip in the grand scheme of eternity.

Here's a decree to declare:  No matter what storm brews or how tough life gets; I'm holding onto the truth of God's forever love. I'm grounding myself in His promises, knowing that He's working all things together for my good (Romans 8:28). This trial? It's temporary. But His love? That's eternal, and it's got my back through it all.

And here are some practical steps to take to embrace this eternal perspective:

  • Daily Dose of Scripture: Commit to spending time in God's word every day, soaking in the timeless truths that remind me of His everlasting love and promises.

  • Gratitude Journaling: Each day, jot down three things that you’re thankful for. It's a simple practice, but it helps shift your focus from temporary troubles to eternal blessings.

  • Community Connection: Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you and remind you of God's faithfulness, especially when you’re facing tough times.

  • Prayer and Meditation: Carve out moments of quiet reflection to pray and meditate on God's goodness. It's in these moments of stillness that you feel His presence most tangibly.

  • Service and Outreach: Seek opportunities to serve others and share God's love with those around me. It's a reminder that your actions have eternal significance and impact.

In closing, I invite you to join me on this journey as we anchor our souls in the unchanging truth of God's forever love.
