Positioning for the 2nd Half of the Year

As we enter the second half of this year, I hear the Lord calling us to a time of preparation, positioning, and proclamation. The Father is urging us to align ourselves more closely with His purposes, to prune and purge, and to walk boldly in the authority we have in Christ Jesus.

Prune and Purge: This is a season of pruning and purging. Just as a gardener prunes a tree to remove dead branches and allow for new growth, so must we allow the Holy Spirit to prune our lives. Let go of anything that hinders your spiritual growth – whether it’s habits, relationships, or mindsets. Hebrews 12:1 reminds us to “throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.” Seek the Lord’s guidance in identifying these areas and ask for His strength to purge them from your life.

Actualize Your Power in Christ: The Lord is calling us to actualize the power we have in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 1:19-20 speaks of the “incomparably great power for us who believe.” This is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of God. You are not powerless; you are filled with resurrection power! Step into this authority with confidence, knowing that Christ has equipped you for every good work.

Dare to Decree and Declare: In this second half of the year, dare to decree and declare God’s promises over your life. Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death.” Speak life into your circumstances, declare victory over your challenges, and prophesy God’s word over your future. Your declarations of faith have the power to shift atmospheres and bring about divine breakthroughs.

Speak to the Mountains: Jesus said in Mark 11:23, “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” Now is the time to speak to the mountains in your life – the obstacles, fears, and doubts – and command them to be removed. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is faithful to His promises.

Position Yourself for a Glorious Finish: As we move forward, position yourself to finish this year strong. Engage in prayer, immerse yourself in the Word, and remain connected to the body of Christ. God has great plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Position yourself to receive all that He has in store.

Let us embrace this season with expectancy and faith. Prune and purge what is necessary, actualize your power in Christ, dare to decree and declare His promises, and speak to the mountains with unwavering faith. Together, let us finish this year daring greatly for the glory of God!
